In support of Space Frequency Coordination Group (SFCG) Action Items and related International Telecommunications Union-Radio (ITU-R) efforts, this year’s NOAA Passive Microwave Sensing Workshop continued the work of the two previous NOAA Workshops and was held at NOAA’s Silver Spring, Maryland location on 1-2 May 2007. The objective of this 3rd NOAA Workshop was to finalize the results of all three NOAA Passive Sensing Workshops. The Workshop focused on the introduction and discussion of technical papers on the identification, evaluation and utilization of particular passive sensing microwave bands, emphasizing bands above 275 GHz.
